Developed from years of working in yoga and meditative modalities, Wah!’s Self Care Trainings and Classes introduce simple and effective techniques to improve health and mood. Self-Care is based on Wah!’s book Self-Care: Building a Smarter, Stronger, More Peaceful Self.
Self-Care uses simple exercises like breathing, tapping and meridian stimulation. No exercise clothes are required; classes can be done seated in a chair or on the floor. Humming, massaging the scalp, and stimulating the ear meridians are some of the techniques you will learn. All classes include a 20-minute sound therapy for deep restoration and cellular rejuvenation. A short humming exercise concludes the class.
The Self-Care method helps people improve mental and emotional health, manage stress and prevent burnout and job-related depression. Self-Care helps people learn how to participate and positively influence their physical health and emotional balance.
Taking good care of yourself means showing up authentically, engaging the physical body, feeling emotions, releasing congestion, giving yourself space to relax and decompress. All participants are encouraged to adapt or ask for adaptations to compensate for physical limitations or health conditions.
